Davido Settles Breach of Contract Suit Out of Court, Agrees to Perform at 'Warri Again 2024 Concert
Nigerian singer and songwriter, David Adedeji Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, has reached an amicable resolution to the breach of contract lawsuit filed against him at the High Court of Delta State Effurun by the Amaju Pinnick-led Brownhill Investment Company Limited.
In a consent judgment entered as part of the N2 billion suit, Davido has agreed to settle the matter out of court. As per the terms of the settlement, Davido will pay N30 million to the claimant within seven days to contribute towards their outstanding legal fees.
Furthermore, Davido has committed to performing live at the 'Warri Again 2024 Concert' scheduled for October 4, 2024, in Warri, Delta State, as part of the out-of-court settlement.
The lawsuit, filed under suit number EHC/183/2023, sought N2 billion in general damages against Davido, along with N150 million for legal and professional fees, and an additional N30 million for the cost of filing the suit. The defendants named in the suit include Davido himself and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited.
Following extensive discussions and negotiations between the parties involved, an agreement was reached for Davido to perform at the upcoming 'Warri Again Concert' edition, scheduled for October 4, 2024.
This resolution signifies a positive step towards resolving the legal dispute between Davido and Brownhill Investment Company Limited, paving the way for a collaborative effort to entertain fans at the highly anticipated 'Warri Again 2024 Concert'.
